HOM Design & Build completed this primary bathroom renovation in the Clearfield community of Springfield, Virginia. The drop-in tub and original finishes were removed to create a fully tiled, curbless shower. Construction included plumbing changes, whole-bathroom self-leveling concrete, a framed knee wall, Durock cement board, the Schluter waterproofing system and wood blocking throughout the room to support the planned grab-bar locations. The original single-sink vanity arrangement was converted to a double bowl with the required plumbing work. The finished bathroom combines custom marble-look tile, clear glass, multiple grab bars, a handheld shower, recessed niches, a long double vanity and updated lighting.
